Songbird Sweater Make A Long
Knit the Songbird Sweater! In this three-part series with the designer as your teacher, learn how to make the popular top-down, cable-raglan sweater. While knitting, you'll be guided through techniques such as the Magic Loop, raglan sweater construction, lace and cable techniques, as well as tailoring the piece to your own preferences.
Materials to buy or bring from home:
- Songbird Sweater pattern will be provided by teacher. Once registered, a pdf will be sent to you by email so keep a look out (check your spam if you do not receive).
- Aran weight or worsted + lace held double. See pattern for yardage details for your size.
- Size US 9 (5.5mm) and 10 (6mm) circular needles, 32-40" (Magic Loop will be taught for the sleeves).
- These needle sizes are suggested by the pattern. Please note that these sizes can change for you based on your gauge. If you are unsure about your gauge, come to class with your gauge swatch to discuss before purchasing all needles (see swatch homework below).
- Waste yarn or Barber Cords
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
