Learn to Make a Baby Blanket
Need a next step class after beginning knit? Dreaming of making a baby blanket as a gift or even for yourself? Join Sarah for a four-part class that will take you through all the steps of making a baby blanket. The These Days Blanket is a classic blanket that is a perfect for a baby or can even be a larger throw. If you can knit and purl confidently, cast on and off, you can knit this blanket.
Class schedule:
- 1/9: Learn to read a pattern, getting started and casting on
- 1/16: Middle section
- Come to class with the bottom border complete
- 1/30: Knitting in class
- Come to class with the middle section started. We will work on the middle section and answer any questions/troubleshoot.
- 2/6: Top border, weaving in ends and picking your next project
- Come to class with middle section complete
Materials to purchase or bring from home:
- Purchase Fifty Four Ten Studio’s These Days Blanket on Raverly here
- This pattern is knit in worsted weight yarn. A superwash yarn is recommended for ease of care. See pattern for the blanket size you want to make—the yarn requirements are listed for each size
- Circular needles: Size 7 US (4.5mm) 40". If you think you are a loose or tight knitter, you can chat with Sarah and purchase needles at start of class
- Stitch markers (rings and clip-on) and darning needle
