Cocoknits Method: Kiki Cardigan

Love seamless sweaters, but wish they were a bit more tailored? Julie Weisenberger has the solution! With the Cocoknits method, learn “English tailoring”: beautiful, fitted shoulders that flow beautifully into a seamless sweater.

Class schedule:

  • 9/24: Intro to the Cocoknits method & casting on upper back (Section I)
    • Come to class with a knitted and blocked gauge swatch in garter rib stitch pattern
  • 10/8: Pick up for shoulders (Section II)
    • Come to class having finished Section I (upper back) and both collar sections of Section II (prepare collar for right front on page 7 and prepare collar for left front on page 9)
  • 10/22: Join sleeves (Section III) & set up yoke (Section IV)
    • Come to class having finished Section II (create shoulders)
  • 11/5: Separate sleeves and begin body
    • Come to class having finished Section IV (yoke)
  • 11/19: Pocket placement and how to pick up sleeves in the middle of a project
    • Come to class having knit the body to the pockets
  • 12/3: Finishing pockets
    • Come to class having finished the entire cardigan, but not the pockets. You can either make knit pockets or fabric pockets—I’ll bring choices for fabric pockets
